About Fig Tree Alley Fiber Arts

Hello, my name is Julia Arnold and I am the owner of Fig Tree Alley Fiber Arts. I have been in business since mid 2006, selling my buttons, crochet creations, drop spindles and spinning supplies at local craft shows, on Etsy.com and on the figtreealley.com website. In December of 2009, I was able to fulfill a dream of mine and I opened a fiber arts business in a Victorian building in Mid-town Sacramento. It has been a little over a year since then, and after closing the storefront in December of 2010, I am back to running the business on the website and by appointment for my Sacramento fiber friends.

I am a machine knitter and I have been crocheting for over 29 years. A few years ago I learned to spin. I am definitely a yarn and fiber junkie.

Some of my hobbies are: ceramics, wood working, knitting, machine knitting, crochet, pastel painting, card making and designing.

I am the mother of three wonderful young men and grandmother to three gorgeous grand-daughters - Paisly Jane - 2 1/2, Cora McKenna - 1 yr 2 mos. and Elizabeth 9 mos. They are my joy, along with the joy their parents bring me and you will see their faces featured here from time to time.
